Should I be tipping my hairdresser, who is also the owner? What about the shampoo girl?

My hairdresser is the owner, and I always tip her, but is this customary? I know I am supposed to tip the shampoo girl, but how much?Should I be tipping my hairdresser, who is also the owner? What about the shampoo girl?
Yep, but not the shampoo girl. 15-20% for the hairdresser :)Should I be tipping my hairdresser, who is also the owner? What about the shampoo girl?
The owner should never be tipped, but since you have all along you really can't stop now. The shampoo girl should receive a small tip perhaps a dollar or 2
I tip my barber when he does my hair even though his hair cuts are high as h*ll, but he has known me since I was alittle boy.
Tipping is for people who have performed a ';personal service'; for you...so yes, the shampoo girl should get a tip....she won't earn much and would be grateful of the extra.
It is customary to tip your hairstylist, but not if your stylist is the owner. He or She gets a percentage of the other stylists in his or her salon. However, since you have been tipping the owner, it would be awkward to stop.
yes you are suppose to be tipping the hairstylist. Not the shampoo girl, the owner pays her.
