Any of you girls had success with hair-darkening shampoo/conditioners?

I have dark blond hair, but i'd like it to be a little more brunette (right now its sort of an in-between color). I don't want to dye it and have to deal with roots. Which products have you tried, and do they work?Any of you girls had success with hair-darkening shampoo/conditioners?
really the Only thing u can do is dry it it last longer other then that or a colour boost mousse :)

Best shampoo: girls and guys opinions?

what is the best shampoo and conditioner to use that are the same that smell really really good and is strong? Because I really wanna get one that smells really good.Best shampoo: girls and guys opinions?
herbal essence has really good smelling hair products and So Sexy smells really good too. You can get it at Victoria's Secret and it's not that expensiveBest shampoo: girls and guys opinions?
I usually use John Freda (sp?) .. But the other day i Tried the new ';Sun Slik'; .. an to my suprise .. its great !! an smelled f-ing wonderful ..
i never use conditioner, but my favs are:

pantene ice shine (yes, it really makes your hair shiny!)

%26amp;

treseme (ooh la la)

both smell good...but it's not a particular smell...like fruity shampoos %26amp; such.
Anything by Aveda.. and its all natural
shaumma
Moisture Maniac by bed head smells the best in my opinion...but i do not like the actual product. All Soft by Redken smells good and works great too!
Well for girls I suggest the Suave daily clarifying, especially if you use alot of hairspray : ) But it doesn't really have that much of a scent... Otherwise V05 smells REALLY good : ) Pretty much every scent in that brand does lol : ) Although the Suave green apple smells so good I wish I could eat it!!!! LOL

Taylor Rae
Vive, Herbal Essenses, and I believe the name of the best I know of is Purell or something that sounds like that.

haha. just kidding..
New product

SUNSILK

Give it a shot!!
I have curly hair so I love Matrix Curl life shampoo and it smells wonderful!
l'oreal elseve
Lush Shampoo bars (try lush.com if you don't have a store near you!) are the best, and they have all kinds of different ones for different hair! (The bars last longer if you keep them in your bedroom instead of keeping them in the shower. Then just bring it into the shower with you.)

The conditioners are super fab too. Now that the whole leg-warmers, 80s looks are back, I am really into the new Big conditioner. It makes hair super soft and bouncy!
Dove is the best and it smells good too
tree oil
alterna enzymetherapy
I would go with purelene egg %26amp; Protein Shampoo
The cheap stuff. I typically pay $1 for 16 ounces. It works just as well as the ';salon quality'; stuff.

All shampoos have basically the same ingredients.
head and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes...and suave apple
I like to use Pantene. It is the clear kind. I can't think of the exact name besides Pantene though. :)
TIGI Bead Head shampoos and conditioners have been and will be hands down, my favorite.

They all smell really good and work well with all types of hair. My hair always feel awesome after using the products, even after years of using it.
Clinique..Karite..L'Oreal..
pantene 2in1...
Bane d' Terre
All Garnier Fructis products smell super yummy.
The new herbal essence line smells pretty good, I really like the blue one.

But I am a long time loyal user or Biologe Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells amazing and everyone complements my hair. Suave makes an off brand of it and it smells equallly as good just not quiet as strong.

Thermasilk also smells pretty strong.

goodluck!!
My favorite is the Bed Head Manipulator Shampoo and Conditioner (bright turqouise color). It's a little hard to find but it smells great!!! Like pineapple. I've tried other Bed Head products and they all smell terrific.

On Tigi's website they're offering a promo on their ';Dumb Blonde'; shampoo and conditioner (free but there's a hefty S%26amp;H fee). Their products are sold at salons and some beauty supply stores. It can be pricey but usually there's a special deal w/ Bed Head, plus several times a year they offer a 2 for 20 sale--two liters (one shampoo/one conditioner) for twenty dollars. It's a huge size and lasts a while.
Paul Mitchell smells so great and is good for dry or damedged hair.

herbal essences makes a spray for ppl who use a flat-iron for straightening. its amazing!
The shampoo and conditioner isn't what's going to keep your hair from getting damaged from the flat iron. I would recommend using a thermal protectant spray or cream when you are flat ironing your hair. This helps act as a barrier between the iron and your hair to help prevent damage from the heat. But I would recommend using a smoothing shampoo and conditioner, or a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to help keep your hair from drying out from the flat iron and to help eliminate frizz.
ALL D'ESHAW PRODUCTS ARE AMAZING
If your in it to win it.. try Pureology Nano Works, the gold ones. It'll be like you never straightened your hair. Poof! Damage gone.

Girls question...Should you shampoo your pubic hair with conditioner, or just use soap?

Which is the proper one to do? Also, if you should use shampoo, what brand do u find is best to do it with? Thank you.Girls question...Should you shampoo your pubic hair with conditioner, or just use soap?
shave it off. were not in the 70's anymoreGirls question...Should you shampoo your pubic hair with conditioner, or just use soap?
Just use the liquid wash which is appropriate for that. There are too many in the market. Because soap and shampoo have strong chemicals which is not appropriate for the pH balance of our private parts.
um just soap
Uh... I wax so I wouldn't know but I'd think soap would be fine, if you wanna keep your pubic hair as nice as your hair on your head then go ahead use shampoo :) No harm in that.
definitely soap
Uhm..

I don't have any.

But most people use regular soap.

As far as a particular scent, there is a couple of smells I like. I don't even know what the scent is or what it comes from.

The one that just makes me crazy kind of smells like a mix of baby powder and a light caramel.

My wife has it and I haven't told her in fear she will stop wearing it.
I don't know about shampoo but I have some grape scented lip gloss and whenever i wore it my ex always told me how good i smelled :)

Girls I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner so I understand conditioner does not have to get on scalp true?

So if the conditioner is not supposed to get on the scalp in my case what do I do since I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditionerGirls I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner so I understand conditioner does not have to get on scalp true?
2 in 1 is usually very light conditioner, so unless you have really oily hair naturally, I wouldn't worry too much about it, the shampoo part will take most of it off anyway. If your hair does look greasy, buy separate products next time.Girls I have a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner so I understand conditioner does not have to get on scalp true?
ive been told that 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner isnt as good as using them seperatly but this thing about conditioner shouldnt touch the scalp, its no what its meant for but it doesnt hurt it, because u have to let the shampoo touch your scalp or youll get like dandruff or something.

Pantene. It's not too expensive, but I think it works as well as some of the more high dollar ones.

I have color treated hair and I use a straightener everyday, so my hair tends to get ';dry looking';.

Pantene makes it look more smooth and shiny.

  • Hi girls, do you know what is considered the best moisturizing/cleansing shampoo?

I currently use infusium23 moisturologie shampoo/conditioner, my hair is ok, but i wonder if anyone can recommend a top of the line moisturizing shampoo? My hair type is thin waves medium cut to my shoulders. After i wash i use a little bit of pure jojoba oil and shea butter in my hair to help with moisture.Hi girls, do you know what is considered the best moisturizing/cleansing shampoo?
I have exactly the same type of hair as you and believe me I know it is increasingly hard to find a decent cleansing shampoo for our type of hair.

I normally if I want to give my hair a deep cleansing use a tea tree oil shampoo. Ask at your local hairdressers and they should be able to find you one from their range of hair products!

    Good luck with your search.

I love the clean shampoo smell and I want to pick something that smells awesome. My hubby loves when I wash with Lavender. I let him think I do it for him...but I secretly like it too!!For the guys or girls with boyfriends/husbands: what is your favorite shampoo smell?
I LOVE Herbal Essences. It smells amazing after sinking into the scalp all day . Not quite like what the actual shampoo smells like--even better.

i LOVE the smell, its not really fruity; more sophisticated. and not too strong.

To all the girls out there what homemade shampoo really cleans the hair?

Early shampoos used in Indonesia were made from the husk and straw (merang) of rice. The husks and straws were burned into ash, and the ashes (which have alkaline properties) are mixed with water to form lather. The ashes and lather were scrubbed into the hair and rinsed out, leaving the hair clean, but very dry. Afterwards, coconut oil was applied to the hair in order to moisturize it.[To all the girls out there what homemade shampoo really cleans the hair?
Yes I used it when I was more at home and had time to prepare it. And it worked ok for me.To all the girls out there what homemade shampoo really cleans the hair?
    no way
First of all, it depends on what type of hair you have. If you have dandruff, you should use head%26amp;shoulders because it does work. If you have frizzy, straight, etc. you should use herbal essences shampoo. its for different types of hair and you can find it in Walgreens, Target, etc. I use the herballessences mandarin balm%26amp;pearls. hope this helped.

Always a girl. I don`t like guys touching me at all.

    completely gay

and guys usually dont understand that. lol

Natural stuff that might help my hair look just like those girls in the shampoo commercials ?

i've tried every single product and nothing worked !! ( liars ! :@ ) anyway ... i want to have that shiny strong hair those girls have :(:(

    can someone help ??

thxNatural stuff that might help my hair look just like those girls in the shampoo commercials ?
once a week, make an egg mask for your hair with egg yolks and leave it on for half an hour and then rinse it off. a good general practice is to put shampoo on dry hair, not wet hair because it will replenish the hair much more, same goes for conditioner. after that rinse it off!

also, splashing your hair with one half cup of vinegar helps

be sure not to use these too often, the vinegar will dry your hair out and the egg mask will make your hair too oily.Natural stuff that might help my hair look just like those girls in the shampoo commercials ?
i used to have the same problem but when i started to use suave hair shampoos and conditioners it went away. they say there all Natural so its nothing bad. if you do it every other day or every three days in a week or two you'll notice a big difference. and just stay away from dying straightening or curling your hair to often because that damages your hair. hope this helps it helped me.
You'll never manage to do it. Those girls you see on the television or in the magazines have been digitally enhanced.

In truth, their hair will look no different from yours. In fact, yours could be better.

They wish they actually looked that good too, believe me.
Well, you should always remember that girls hair in commercials are probably digitally fixed and shined to make it look all pretty and stuff. But if you want a product that will make your hair look shiny and healthy then you should try Garnier Shine Burst Shampoo and Conditioner. It makes my hair look shiny and feels soft and it looks absolutely beautiful! Also, if you go to the Garnier website, you can take the Hair 411 test where you answer 7 questions to reveal the right products for you. Garnier is my favorite brand because it makes my hair look the best but if it doesn't work for you then you should try out some other brands. Just never use Pantene because all it does is coat your hair in a greasy residue. Ewww! It makes your hair feel soft but it will look disgusting!

Really hopes this helps! If you need any more info, e-mail me!
Do it just like them, take photos of yourself and Photoshop the crap outta them! Seriously though nobody has hair like that, it's the power of television that makes it look that nice.
wel the people on t.v. have there hair washed by prefessionals and no ones hair looks like that everyday..

but my mom once told me that to make your hair really soft and get rid of the build up is to conditoin it with maynaise. i know it sounds wierd but she says it really works.

    hope i helped (:
    Remember, advertisements are NEVER real.

First, they preselect models who have gorgeous hair to start with, not average people. If you have half the hair they do, no product will magically make you grow more.

Then, they let professional hair care experts go to town on them. Including very careful styling to maximize appearance (hide short ends, etc).

Then, they shoot under special lighting meant to optimize the gleam and color of the hair, and usually do touchup work to cover up any stray frizzes or spots.

I agree with the earlier poster: if you want to look like something that isn't real, you have to be unreal yourself.

Is it possible for a girl to have soft pubes? and if so, is there anything that she needs to do (use shampoo)?

whats wrong with you. if you can get your facial hair to be soft after shaving then tell her what she needs to do. pubic hair is naturally very coarse. as most facial hair.Is it possible for a girl to have soft pubes? and if so, is there anything that she needs to do (use shampoo)?
i have really soft pubes, i use soap and water mostly. Is it possible for a girl to have soft pubes? and if so, is there anything that she needs to do (use shampoo)?
Conditioner works very well. Softens ANY hair.
It depends on the female...Pubic hair is usually coarse though.. for special reasons...If it's that bad shave it off.! haha no don't do that it will grow even more coarse (THICKER)
Pubic hair is naturally coarser, and sometimes darker. Of course, there are exceptions, everyone is different.

I don't think there is any good way to make it softer.

The problem with pubic hair is that the area, being close to the vagina, is extremely delicate, so that makes it a lot harder to deal with it chemically - soaps, conditioners, etc. - because altering your body's PH can give serious trouble. It is very sensitive, so that can make shaving and waxing a true torture sometimes. While waxing is supposed to help make hair softer and thinner, it can be extremely painful for some of us.

Shampoo first, then rinse and do the second shampoo. Conditioner needs to sit in your hair for a while so d0 that right after you shampoo. While the conditioner is in wash and shave, then wash the conditioner out in cold water to protect hair and make it healthy.

Which shampoo is reccommonded for 6 to 8 yrs old girls hair?

Till date am using Johnson's baby shampoo for my 7 yrs old daughter's hair thinking tht it is very mild, gentle %26amp; hence harmless for her scalp %26amp; hair. But now i feel that i should change her shampoo. But afraid of using the regular onces that are available in the mkt. Can anybody please advise me as to which shampoo can be used for children above 6 yrs may be till 12yrs?Which shampoo is reccommonded for 6 to 8 yrs old girls hair?
Johnson's is mild, and won't sting eyes (due to ph levels). As long as she can keep it out of her eyes, you can use pretty much any shampoo. There are some specific 'kids' shampoos, but the only difference is the fragrance.

There's nothing wrong with continuing with the Johnson's. Many adults use it.Which shampoo is reccommonded for 6 to 8 yrs old girls hair?
Most would still advise J %26amp; J as they would haven't heard anything beyond that since their childhood. It is definitely gentle but definitely not free of all harmful chemicals.

Segals Solutions program has one - Shampoo plus Conditioner. that means a 2-in-1 that conditions hair while it cleanses. Advantages over any other shampoo are - Segals Solutions products are not only gentle but also pH balanced, free from all harmful chemicals, based on natural extracts, fortified with anti-oxidants and hair-vitamins, free from animal fat and not tested on animals. Segals products also contain EDTA and Jojoba Oil to ward off the evil effects of hard water/chlorinated water/sun/pollution/etc. Segals products are now available in India.

Now, does any brand stand closer to Segals ???. Surely not
As I child I used the L'oreal Kids Smoothie Shampoo or L'oreal Kids for thick, curly, or wavy hair. They are very gentle and mild to the scalp, skin and eyes. I had very thick, wavy hair (and still do) and could still get a lather as well. As an added bonus they smell wonderful, better than many of the 'adult' shampoos!

And as for age, I used this from about ages 4-12!
dont worry...the regular ones like pantene sunsilk and those will be good for her...they wont damage her scalp trust me...im only 14 but ive been using regular shampoos and conditioner since i was 4...probably younger since my dad worked for uniliver...nothing bad happened to my scalp or anything... my hair has been dyed(bout 8 times) and straightened and blow dried regularly and its still soft and silky:p
    Loreal Kids..

they have some delicious smelling shampoos and conditioners.

I regularly wash a 7 year old girl's hair with it.

It works great, smells delicous.. and just look at her hair.. c =

You can always try Loreal. The kids ones. Or Suave. They have them just for kids. The Loreal is a little fishy shaped bottle. And the Suave one generally has an octopus or something like that on it.

What are some good Shampoos and Conditioners for an African- American Girl?

Me and my sister, which is 11.. wants to know what shampoos %26amp; conditioners we should use. Im african-american. Im 19, and my little sister is 11. What should we BOTH use? What are some good Shampoos and Conditioners for an African- American Girl?
There are many products on the market you can use, and you'd be surprised that many of them are for EVERY hair type, regardless of race. Most products that are specifically made for blacks have ingredients that no one should ever put in their hair, such as petroleum, which is often used in grease and many hair ';moisturizers.'; When I was relaxed I used shampoos like Dove and Pantene. Now that I'm natural I've switched over to more organic brands that don't contain harsh chemicals. Giovanni is one of many organic brands. I also use a product called Wen (http://www.wenhaircare.com) which is a cleansing conditioner, which means you no longer have to use shampoos because shampoos can dry out the hair. The cleansing conditioner will cleanse the hair and it acts as a rinse out conditioner, leave-in, and deep conditioner all in one. I have it and it's great for my hair. I wish I had discovered better products and healthy ways to take care of my hair when I was relaxed because then I wouldn't have had to deal with so much breakage from misinformation and myths.

What products you use will depend on how your hiar responds to them, and most likely you'll have to experiment with different hair products. Good luck. What are some good Shampoos and Conditioners for an African- American Girl?
That really depends on whether your hair is relaxed or natural. I prefer Pantene Relaxed and Natural products. But, many people who have used them did not like them. They work well for me! :)

I also know that Creme of Nature and Cantu products are VERY good.

In addition to using the right hair products, you must also make sure you are giving your hair the right care. Stay away from heat as much as possible (blowdrying, hot curling, flat ironing, etc...) Wash your hair about once a week. And, make sure that you condition it well.
if your hair is natural with out perm, relaxer, or texturrizer. Any shampoo with out sulfates or cones in it. and any conditioner with out out mineral oil.
Doo gro products are good for African American girls.Remember when washing often or chemically styling to back it up with a leave in conditioner.Doo gro makes a great leave in also.
Halle Berry uses Mixed Chicks. You will love how their deep conditioner detangles and softens your hair.
Herbel Essences and Aussie is really good. :D

I bought mine at Rite Aid for only $1 for 13. oz! I'm not sure if the sale is still going on right now but you can always check :) I bought around 10 bottles because it was on sale and I could probably use these for the next few years. I love this stuff. Smells amazing too :)

John Freida, Frizz ease works best for me.Whats The Best Shampoo/Conditioner For A Really Curly Headed Girl!%26lt;3?
There are plenty you can get, but it depends on the condition of your hair really.

Frizzease is really good, ive used it before and got a special set for Christmas.

There are also plenty of choices, but the best ones are usually the well known brands (e.g. Pantene, Loreal) and they aren't too expensive.

Make sure you Shampoo and Condition hair, and it usually works better if you use ones from the same range, in particular if you want it to tame frizz.

Theres plenty of ';Smooth and Shine'; ones, which leave your hair nice but if you want it to tackle frizz your probably best off at getting a specific one.
Tresemae (dont know if its the right speling)

works well for me and i have curly hair you should try the anti frizz control one though
I hope you can order online because Avon makes a line called Curl Goddess and it is awesome and not expensive.

Conditioner works very well. Softens ANY hair.

(GIRLS ONLY) why dont girls shampoo there hair everyday?

Also how often do they shampoo and condition?(GIRLS ONLY) why dont girls shampoo there hair everyday?
Its not good for your hair to be washed everyday, male or female. It washes all the oils out of your hair and makes your hair dry. I shampoo every other day along with conditioner.(GIRLS ONLY) why dont girls shampoo there hair everyday?
I do shampoo my hair everyday and condition it daily as well.
I shampoo and condition my hair everyday. I don't understand people who say it is bad to wash your hair everyday, because mine is in very good condition and people often tell me they wish they had hair like mine, so it is doing no harm to wash and condition it daily.
I do shampoo and condition mine daily. I don't understand it when girls do not, I think it is gross. It's like not showering- our hair gets dirty just like the rest of our body. SO, girls wash your hair!! It captures odors- from smoking, cooking, dirt or dust in the air and SMELLS!! YUCK!
I shampoo every day, I have oily hair. I only condition every other time I was my hair because of it being so oily, it causes my hair to become even oilier. I should go and get a perm to dry it some...Thanks, I think I will make an appointment.
I shampoo and condition my hair everyday!
Some of us do shampoo everyday...but most wash (both shampoo and condition) their hair every other day. Personally, I believe that the hair gets oily on the thrid day after washing and on the second day it's perfect. But it is also said that if you wash your hair too often, it would start to fall and get dry...
If you wash your hair too much (everyday it too much), with shampoo, it washes out all the oils on your scalp and then your scalp gets dry and crap like that. We don't like that kind of snow... I don't know how often other girls go without washing their hair, but I go one day usually. Like Monday, Wed, Fri... Sometimes I just don't feel like going to the shower, so I don't shower for days. The longest I've went without a shower is probably three weeks or a month. It was during the summer time, so yeah I stunk. There was no school or anything special happening , so didn't think there was any reason to shower.
    EWWW! I don't know!

I wash mine every day and it hasn't hurt it one bit :-)

Just the thought of leaving all the pollutants from the air, not to mention any exposure to smoke, or (because I'm a bartender in a restaurant) the food smell :-)

I don't know about everyone else.
I used to, but my hair dresser told me I shouldn't. That if I washed it every other day it wouldn't dry out so easy, and my color wouldn't fade so fast.
Thx for the 2 points firstly. Depends on hair length - short hair - I would wash daily, which I do lol :) Yes also use conditioner daily. Cheers.
My dermatologist told me not too because I have a skin condition washing it everyday makes it worst. He also stated that people should really only wash their hair about 3 times a week at the most as it strips all the natural oils from it.
Because they think it's to much of an effort. Some people do it once a week or every other day. I wash my hair every day and it's pretty long.
depends on the weather...if it is how and humid, once a day. if its winter, you hardly want to shower at all! and it also depends on how dirty you got you hair. if you went camping and rolled in the mud, i think 2 times a day would be little. :D
Depends on the girl and how good her hygiene is I guess... personally I'm a fan of washing my hair every day.
because its not fun at all and takes along time to dry your hair

What is your favourite shampoo and conditioner for girls?

It depends on your hair type. Don't buy from the drug store, they aren't as good as professional. You will pay a little bit more, but it's better for your hair. The cheap brands (like TreSemme, Garnier, etc..)all use cheaper ingredients. They water it down more, and use harsher cleansing agents (Sodium Laureth/Laurel Sulfate). Stay away from Pantene. It's so so bad for your hair! They put all sorts of wax in there, which makes it feel soft for the first week, and then you can't wash it out and it makes your hair feel dead.

Go to Trade Secret, or Ulta and have someone suggest a brand for your hair type. I can give you what I like, though.

For Frizzy Hair: Paul Mitchell Super Skinny

For Dry Hair: Bumble and Bumble Cocoa or Frederic Fekkai

For Fine Hair: Redken Body Full

For Damaged/Overprocessed Hair: Brocato Cloud Nine (AMAZING!)

For Color Treated: Any shampoo that is SULFATE FREE, and then use a conditioner for your hair type. Pureology makes the best for color-treated. Alot of brands are doing sulfate free now, though so you should be able to find one if you have a hard time finding Pureology

I'm a brunette and I love John Freida's Brilliant Brunette. It's $5 for Shampoo, and another $5 for Conditioner, but it's worth it. I get compliments on my hair all the time!Girls what is the best shampoo for brunettes?
A lot of shampoos will make the hair be frizzy because shampoo strips the hair of its natural oils. If you want less frizzy hair and no products are woking, shampoo less. It may seem a little gross at first but it REALLY does make a difference.

But, when you do use a shampoo John Freida makes a great shampoo for brunettes.

  • How often do black girls shampoo their hair?

Or more to the point, why don't they shampoo more often? It is because the relaxer in their hair washes out?

I have straight blonde hair - and they are all very jealous of me. DON'T HATE, APPRECIATE.How often do black girls shampoo their hair?
    Hahahaha.

Hahahahahahahhaa. I love my hair. But if you are honestly interested, water can't wash out a relaxer (it's a chemical process that permenantly changes hair's structure) but it can ruin a style that depends on hair spray and hair products. Relaxers without hair products are stiff and poofy. Just like when you go to the salon to get your hair curled or blown out you would avoid washing it becuase that reverts the style.

When I used to get relaxers nobody had better come at me with water becuase I had just spent $50 getting it styled. I'm now growing out a relaxer and I love washing my hair weekly, every other week or every few days depending on how much product build up I have. Relaxed hair should get washed a little more often I think. My hair smelled fine either way.

But whether natural or relaxed, highly textured hair doesn't get as oily as lank strands. Whether it's a difference in scalp oil production or the fact that curly hair hides oils better, I don't know. Plus shampooing can dry out a texture that needs natural oils.

I was in high school before I learned white girls vwith straight hair have to shampoo it every day or it gets all greasy. Ewww. No thanks. How often do black girls shampoo their hair?
it depends on the girl and what kind of hair she has.

relaxer doesnt wash out. it is a chemical process that breaks down the bonds (curl) to make the hair straight. so once that chemical reaction has been done, you cant re-do it. water wont revert a relaxer

we dont have to shampoo our hair as much as white girls (especially people with fine straight hair) because our hair doesnt get oily. thats why we have to use products to put oil and moisture back into hair.

btw i wash my hair every 5 days. any more than that and my hair and scalp gets very dry and would break. and why would anyone be jealous, if i wanted straight blonde hair i could buy it haha
*NiCOLE T.* is right. Black hair is different from white hair our hair doesn't get oily, so it doesn't need to be washed as.

And I am definitely not jealous of your hair. You are not that great. The only people who's hair makes me jealous are asians.
lol I know me too, they always hate off it haha!!

but yeah i think they shampoo it like every two weeks, because they get it permed that often so it stays straight...
every week because our hair needs to stay moisturized for a minute and not every black woman has a relaxer in the hair
Most of em shampoo thier hair regularly. Sometimes girls in general dont wash their hair. Which is gross
wow youre extreamly rude you better hope no one reports you.

Girls what is the best shampoo for brunettes?

I need a shampoo that is good for dark hair. Also, one that makes your hair smell nice and look shiny. Lastly, a shampoo that doesn't make your hair go all gross and frizzy. Thxx!Girls what is the best shampoo for brunettes?
I'm a brunette and I love John Freida's Brilliant Brunette. It's $5 for Shampoo, and another $5 for Conditioner, but it's worth it. I get compliments on my hair all the time!Girls what is the best shampoo for brunettes?
A lot of shampoos will make the hair be frizzy because shampoo strips the hair of its natural oils. If you want less frizzy hair and no products are woking, shampoo less. It may seem a little gross at first but it REALLY does make a difference.

But, when you do use a shampoo John Freida makes a great shampoo for brunettes.

My baby girl doesn't use baby shampoo, is that bad?

She uses adult shampoo...will that harm her eyes or skin? Her skin is so soft and gentle.

    Thanks!!!!

(tumara meri dil, sochic)My baby girl doesn't use baby shampoo, is that bad?
lol i was reading it and laughing so hard!!! all these people think ur talking about an infant :o) bt no baby shampoo just doesnt soothe out my frizzy hair like sunsilk shampoo does

muahh! My baby girl doesn't use baby shampoo, is that bad?
Baby shampoo is formulated to use on immature or delicate skin and it won't sting if it gets in her eyes. Using adult shampoo could be too harsh and drying for a baby and it can sting in their eyes.

Get a bottle at WalMart it is only a dollar or two and a little bit goes a long way.

    - - -

    http://www.ecobaby.co.uk/babyshampoo.asp鈥?/a>

    ';Baby shampoo is specially designed for babies because babies are more sensitive to harsh chemicals that can be found in adult shampoos. Your baby鈥檚 skin and hair is more sensitive and is more susceptible to drying so baby shampoo is designed to help moisturize, protect and clean gently.';
Awe poor baby, i doubt health wise it'll damage her in any way. But since her skin is very delicate it might cause her to be very itchy, and get a rash or something, making her very uncomfortable and making you impatient. Just buy her the baby shampoo or even the johnsons body bar it's like $1 and you can use it on her hair and skin.
As a pediatrition and a mom myself, that is not good for either her eyes or skin. I understand you love your daughter , which means you want the best for her. I would reccomend you use Johnson Johnson or even [ if you can afford it ] gerber. Good luck and try some of these tips. Remember her delicate skin and gentle eyes need to be protected at all time and to every standard.
If she's a baby then you're the one using the adult shampoo, not her. It could hurt her eyes if it got in them which is why infant and children's shampoos have No Tear formula. I suggest buying some infant shampoo for her that way you don't dry out her skin, or irritate her eyes.
mmm.. I would guess that if Mommie 2 be was actually a pediatrician she woul be able to spell the word correctly?

I'd use baby shampoo just because it's Ph balanced so it won't irritate baby's eyes. Other than that, I'm guessing it's no big deal.
The only to worry about would be if it got into the baby's eyes, it can burn or sting. I bought my granddaughter a special cup, it has a soft side that forms to the baby's head and doesn't allow the shampoo to get into her eyes, when rinsing.
Baby shampoo may have more, worse, and harsher chemicals than some adult shampoo. Some baby shampoo is worth the money and some isn't.

And if adult shampoo bothers her skin you will notice, then just use something else.
If she's a baby don't you wash her hair for her? How is she washing her own hair and why would it be up to her?? When they are really little you should stick the baby shampoos, because yes it will sting her eyes and things.
Nope, I raised 3 kids of my own, shampoo is shampoo,

it's all the same, just with a different name, just to get shopers to think they're buying something great.
It will irritate her young eyes and maybe her skin. That is why Johnson %26amp; Johnson makes great products. Buy the products that is made for children...
No but it is best to use baby shampoo it will keep her skin soft and if any thing got into her eyes it will not harm her!

    GOOD LUCK!
If you use adult shampoo on a baby and get it in their eyes it will sting the eyes.
It might be too harsh for her and will sting if it gets in her eyes. A bottle of baby shampoo costs about $2 at WalMart.
too many chemicals.... stick to the baby shampoo!
    I would use baby stuff...
    use baby products like Johnson%26amp;johnson

Trust me....check out this website: www.biracialhair.org

The woman who created it has done her research, that's for sure! She shows you where she started with her own hair (an overprocessed, frizzy, colored, dry mess) and where she is today. Gorgeous curls down to her waist. She has tons of excellent product advice, how to style hair, tips on how to restore and/or regrow hair, before and after pics, etc. My 7-year old daughter and I tried so hard to figure out something that would work for her hair, and this website was a God-send for us! Be sure to click on the ';Curly Primer'; on the left toolbar...step by step instructions for how to wash, rinse, and condition your daughters' hair to define their beautiful curls!

I hope this is helpful! What is the best shampoo/conditioner/moisturize鈥?for girls w/ mixed race hair?
Pantene has a shampoo for curly hair. A african-american children's brand called Just For Me has a 2 in 1 shampoo that smells pretty good, and A brand called Mixed Chicks sells shampoo for curly hair especially for people of mixed race. I hope I helped.

It usually leaves your hair very dry or really oily men usually don't need all the other oils and mineral that our hair need to be healthy and shiny with all the treatment we do to it so I would stick with a good shampoo and conditioner. :)
No, but it changes you to a man. So be careful.
No, but it will make you smell kinda masculine =p
your hair gets clean and no it doesnt thicken your hair
No, you just smell like a man.
there is no difference in the basic formula between mens shampoo and womens shampoo.. their shampoo jsut tends to have less conditioners in it, and a difference scent.
it usually smells like mens cologunes and might make ur hair dry.
Nothing. It's just the smell that makes it different. Hair is hair. The only way it would thicken you hair if it was a type of shampoo that thickens hair.

Try something simple and clean like Pert or Suave. Nothing flowery or over the top.

Scent and attraction is easily intertwined in memories, it's just likely that you liked the way her shampoo smelled because you liked her. Chances are it was just plain old shampoo.

  • Best shampoo for my little girl's hair?

My daughter is 2 1/2 and has horrible hair. It is thin, ratty, and just a mess all the time. I try really hard to keep it looking good but it is a hopeless cause. Even after I wash it, it looks yucky. I took her to get her hair cut thinking that would help but the lady wouldn't cut it. She said it needs to grow out of the ';baby stage';. She suggested I use regular adult shampoo and not the baby or tearless kinds. I don't want to do this because it will burn her eyes. Can anyone help me that has had this problem and has had good luck with a certain product???Best shampoo for my little girl's hair?
Well i use paul mitchell baby dont cry shampoo on my 3 year old daughter and of course there is always tangles after that then i use a product by matrix called instucure.... it works wonders its pricy but works great..... use a comb when brushing her hair start at the bottom of the hair shaft and work up towards the scalp.... good luckBest shampoo for my little girl's hair?
    Tressame Frizz Away
i say u use herbal essence shampoo, it will help the look of her hair and it is a clear formula so ... ya it doesnt burn ur eyes.
I would try a clear or not heavy shampoo on her like Sauve, or Herbal Essance, or V05.

I use L'oeal Kidz on my 4yr.olds hair. I also use Infusium 23 Leave-In Treatment spray as a detangler and it has vitamins in it for damaged hair and to strengthen the hair. It also seems to tame the frizz. I don't put alot in just a few spritz other wise it'll look greasy. Garnier Fructis makes really good products, leave-in treatments and conditioners.

I do occationally use my shampoo on her.

When washing her hair have her cover her eyes with a wash-cloth and tilt her head back so the shampoo doesn't run down her forhead.
use Paul Mitchell's Baby Don't Cry. it wont burn her eyes and is great for fine and thin hair. its very gentle. i am a stylist and used it on both my kids when they were little babies till they got older. i really can't say enuff about what a great product this is!
Yes, you can get your daughter's hair cut, the stylist was lying to you. My son got his first hair cut at 3 months. I would stick with the baby shampoo and use a leave in conditioner. I have really thick hair and when I was younger my mom would always put my hair in 2 braids before I went to bed to prevent snarls.
Don't worry too much about it looking 'nice'. At 2 years old, it won't stay nice for long anyways.

Just use a gentle shampoo and condition that'll clean the hair without damaging it or hurting her eyes.

I used l'oreal kids for my neice, and she loced it.
cover her eyes and wash it with adult shampoo thats how my mm did my hair and u should see how good it looks now
Kids hair is really health so do not start putting chemicals of any kind on her hair. If it looks that bad keep it short until it gets thicker. Try using Pantene on her hair or go to the salon they might be able to help you. To really solve the problem get it cut.
most baby shampoos are harsh on the hair,,,there ph balance is the same as janitor in a drum!!
Hi, I can recommend a product that my daughter uses on my 2 years granddaughter. It is from a company called Arbonne and it is their ABC Baby Shampoo. It is herbal and botically based so it is pure, safe and beneficial. You can check it out in their online catalog at http://www.wonderful.myarbonne.com If you like a sample sign my guestbook and ask for the baby samples. Good luck to you.

It depends on what kind of hair you have, what kind of hair you want, and what kind of problems you are facing.

I using a couple different products, it's good to switch them up btw.

I use Garnier Fructise shampoo and conditioner, the orange one for frizzy hair... I also use their leave in conditioner every once in a while.

I also use Neutrogena T/Gel once a week. It is the most amazing dandruff shampoo. Dandruff will be 99% gone after the first use!

it also comes in different types, like dangerously straight

    which i use...
i like thermasilk dove and paul mitchells tea tree
    pantene
you should first try to find out what your hair type is. if you have very dry hair and scalp best use a moisturizing shampoo, if you have split ends then use a repairing shampoo. if you want silky hair then try one of those shampoo's from Herbal essence or loreal. anyway too much shampoo is not good for the head, try to keep shampoo to a minimal, whats impotent is that you use a good conditioner. and what ever you use try to use a professional brand if you can afford it, some good brands are Loreal, schwarzkopf, keune. these brands are a little more expensive but worth the spend.
it really depends on your hair type

there a lot of large brands like sunsilk and herbal essences that provide different types for different hair types just think about your hair and pick one.
I have tryed about all shampoos and my favorite is Tresemme because its great and its cheap too!

I went to a hair salon for a perm the girl burnt my hair what is the best shampoo/con I can buy off the shelf?

Well I know how the perm thing goes I used to get those when I was younger but I decided it was way to damaging to my hair just don't get perms anymore please. Where really you can never repair the damage totally done to your hair you have to grow out the damage. But I might suggest The brand TIGI Catwalk Oatmeal %26amp; Honey Treatment Shampoo - Helps repair chemically treated or damaged hair with vitamins A, B, and E while enhancing moisture and shine. The soothing aroma invigorates your mind, body, and soul. Follow with Oatmeal and

Honey Conditioner. I love it and my hair gets a lot of damaging from the blow dring and flat ironing I do to it. Its smells like oatmeal cookies and works wonders. Also you might want to try a leave in conditionar I use potion 9 by sabastian it will help restore your hair as much as it can. And probably if you buy it from a salon or if you have a trade secret in your area it will be more affordable then buying it at a grocery store. Hope it helpsI went to a hair salon for a perm the girl burnt my hair what is the best shampoo/con I can buy off the shelf?
That happened to me, and it was horrible. Try Biolage for dry over-stressed hair. You can get it at a hair salon. Also, my hair was REALLY damaged from a perm, so once a week, I put put conditioner in at night and rinse it out in the morning. It really helped. Try Biolage conditioner for dry over-stressed hair. Good luck. It took me about 2 years to get my hair back to normal. I will never get another perm again.I went to a hair salon for a perm the girl burnt my hair what is the best shampoo/con I can buy off the shelf?
try Aussie moist daily, and Aussie 3 min miracle once a week.
Make sure you buy a shampoo and conditioner for perm or color treated hair. Just keep it trimmed at least every six weeks. That happens if the hairstylist leaves it on for too long or uses a stronger strength perm solution than your hair can take. Good Luck

Do you tip the shampoo guy/girl?

I just started going to a new salon where they have separate shampooers. I've always gone to salons where the stylist shampoos me. Even the last time I went to this new salon, my stylist shampooed my hair, but the last time I went, a different guy did it. I didn't see anyone else tipping him, and I was totally uncertain what to do, so I just gave him a couple bucks on my way out and said thanks. Is that appropriate? What's standard for this?Do you tip the shampoo guy/girl?
I just asked the owner of the salon I go to for ettiquette on this...she said its optional. But $1 to 3.00 is appreciated..but not expected.

If you go to a fancier salon..its probably expected.Do you tip the shampoo guy/girl?
You never tip the shampooer!!! OMG! He/she gets a cut from the stylist.
the person shampooing. has to live too, this is there job.

if you can afford it I say what a few bucks if it will help your brother pay a bill or help feed their child. Merry Christmas
The rule of thumb is, three for the shampoo person and five for the stylist.
The stylist also does the shampooing in many cases so I just tip her/him.
I did the other day when I was in.

The lady was super nice and didnt splash me once. SHe also included a nice head massage.

I gave her 4$...but it's the holidays. Normally id give a twoonie if he/she did a good job.
no, never thought of it....mostly the stylist do the washing!
    I tip them about $2.00.
Tipping is for good service received. The ';norm'; is to tip between $2-$5 to the shampoo girl. Tipping is such a touchy subject and differs depending on where you live. In US restaurants, one tips their server, for good service, because they aren't even paid minimum wage. The tips, therefore, make up for what they should be earning. In Australian, you do not tip in restaurants. Rather they price the food according to allow the servers to be paid a fair rate.
The stylist should be giving a percentage of their tips to their respective shampooers.

I personally don't think a stylist should be tipped unless they do an above board job. If they rush through my cut and don't take a lot of time and do it right, I don't think they deserve a tip. (okay, ready for the hate mail from the hairstylists).
I don't have a shampoo guy/girl, but if i did I would tip them 1 dollar if you can afford it!

try motions shampoo or cream of nature.

make sure you use conditioner too , because after you wash your hair it dries out and conditioner will prevent that. there is this hair spray in a green bottle called olive oil and makes you hair really shiny and soft.

    good luck :)
I use the product called Olive Oil.

Girl's Only What Kind Of Shampoo Do U Use An Y Do U Use That Kind ?

    Organix Tea Tree Mint.

    It smells amazing [:

But it doesn't do really good with the moisturizing so i'm going to get a different shampoo :D

    EDIT:

And don't listen to the girl that said to stick with one shampoo. You should switch up your shampoos once in a while or your hair will become dependent on them. And that's not good O:Girl's Only What Kind Of Shampoo Do U Use An Y Do U Use That Kind ?
I use Victoria's Secret ';Botanical Garnden'; blends and ';So Sexy';. Tehy smell wonderful and really do give your amazing shine and health. Then when Im just lounging around the house I use Head and shoulders premium just to change it up and get excess oil out of my hair.Girl's Only What Kind Of Shampoo Do U Use An Y Do U Use That Kind ?
loreal vive, the pink one. or herbal essence. the green one. smells like wonder :)
I use Sunsilk Shampoo, Conditioner, and leave in conditioner. I find that it works great and keeps my hair soft and healthy.
I use Herbal Essance. The uh, green and blue kind. :P It smells good.
I'm a total product junkie, so, I have about 4 different types in my shower at all times. I like to swith it up b/c if you use the same type all the time it leads to ';product build-up'; and then you would need a good clairifying shampoo to get rid of it all, so, instead, I just alternate types. Right now, there is :

-Victoria's Secret So Sexy : Love the smell %26amp; makes my hair nice %26amp; soft

    - Sunsilk TLC: Smells nice %26amp; conditions really well

    - John Frieda's Brilliant Brunette: LOVE the smell %26amp; makes my brownish hair look really pretty

    - Head %26amp; Shoulders Smooth %26amp; Silky : helps with the occasional dry scalp that I get in the winter and is better than the original formula (b/c it makes my hair feel nice)

I think I'm going to go to Walgreens today to see if they have any of that new Herbal Essances Long Term Relationship line that I keep hearing about. Apparently, it's supposed to really help out those who either have long hair or are trying to grow theirs out.
    Aussie

    Makes your hair really soft!

    :]
Biolage because it makes my hair soft and it moisturizes well.
I use Garnier Fructis, the one for regular or normal hair or whatever.

Sometimes its smell reminds me of my boyfriend : )

Mostly, I just think it smells good, and you only need a little bit for it to lather well.
Suave Juicy Green Apple and Suave Clarifying a couple times a week to deep clean my hair. I used to use way expensive brands with minimal satisfaction. I actually got referred to Suave products about a month or so ago and I would never go back. This stuff ROCKS and it is SO CHEAP!!!
I use Goldwell. It is very important to stick to one kind of shampoo because most of the shampoos work in a up building way. So if you suddenly use something else, It breaks down all the protein and good stuff you've build up for so long

I need help on what shampoo to choose please help, hair stylist/ girl experinces!?

I have an option between 2 very good shampoos+conditioners out of Tigi Moisture manic shampoo+conditioner or the Redken smooth down? I have very frizzy dry hair and its shoulder length, prone to split ends I also straighten it too so come on girls and stylist I am waiting for your answers!!!!I need help on what shampoo to choose please help, hair stylist/ girl experinces!?
    hairstylist here!

it won't really matter which ones you use. they are both very good products. i can give you a few more tips. comb wet hair; and make sure your comb has no snaggs in it as the snag will cause split ends. brush your hair dry and make sure you are not using one which has balls on the ends. the balls fall off and cause split ends. professionally, i recommend DENMAN.

styling products and the correct shampooing meathod is probably what you need.

wet hair COMPLETELY, small amount of shampoo in palm of hand and rub hands together, dab the middle, top, ends, massage into scalp and finger comb thru, DO NOT RUB hair into a knot causing split ends, rinse well. TOWEL DRY , very important step, apply conditioner same way as shampoo and wait 3-5 minutes if hair is super dry. rinse well with cool water and good pressure (under tap if necessary).

you also need to apply something to protect your hair from heat of blow dryer and flat iron. between each step if you do both.I need help on what shampoo to choose please help, hair stylist/ girl experinces!?
Head and shoulders!!! Then when you are done use John Frieda frizz ease. I have frizzy hair too and I like it straight so I use that and it is so pretty afterwards!
Use Tigi, it is a much better quality product than Redken. I have curly, frizzy hair which I straighten every day and I am a stylist, it is great!
Never mind i have thin hair so I use dove but there is diff. kinds for thick hair.
I'll tell you what! I have the very same thing ! I have used PANTEEN for 10 years now (THE FuLL AND THICK) and i no longer have that problem (plus i use the shampoo plus condis) and no longer dry my hair with a hair dryer (i do thoe dry the top ,but not the rest) and my hair has never been so tame! and it grows a lot faster! it is now to my but !!! happy for me ;) try it !
Use mane' and tail shampoo. it will make it shiny.
