I have been restoring dolls for years, and the hair of the American girl is just plastic. So with that in mind Woollite would work fine. Never use hot water only cold, because the plastic will get brittle, rinse very well, comb with a dog grooming comb that's like a metal pick comb very gently as not to loose any hair. Good luckDo you have to use just kids shampoo to wash American Girl dolls hair?
